Island crossing options by sea

Travel between Kupang and Rote can also be experienced by sea, offering two distinct approaches to arrival:

Preferred

Fast Ferry

Last Alternative

Slower Ferry

Our Honest Advice

We Recommend the Flight

The ferry crossing depends entirely on the weather and the sea, and a cancelled sailing can cost you a day of your holiday or losing your international flight back home. The short flight is the calmer, more certain way to arrive.
